Donations Welcome

The Corinne T. Smith Animal Center receives a couple thousand cats every year, mostly kittens. Our adoption price is $90, which pays for the spay/neuter surgery, microchip, booster shot, rabies vaccination, deflea, and deworm. If a cat is already fixed, the adoption price is only $45.

When we have time to do so, we use ASPCA's Meet Your Match™ program to match adopters with our cats aged nine months and up. Cats and adopters are matched based on personalities and lifestyles. There are nine Feline-alities™ for our cats, which you can read about it by clicking here.

Before you look at the cats you can fill out a Meet Your Match™ assessment at the shelter, or you can download one here. To get a general idea of what cat is right for you: if you are mostly answering in the left column, you are purple; if the middle column, you are orange; if the right column, you are green. Please note that during breeding season, we receive a large number of kittens and cats and do not have time to perform behavioral assessments.

Adoption applications may be approved, denied, or put on hold at the sole discretion of the staff.
